The Haze is an American and Asian BBQ Joint at 106 King St., just off the Capital Square in downtown Madison, Wisconsin. Owners Justin and Cory Carlisle, Daniel Almquist and Shinji Muramoto team up to bring you barbeque from around the globe. We opened on Tuesday, October 20th, 2009.
The Haze relies not only on Justin, Dan and Shinji's keen palates and culinary know-how: local farmers' meat and produce will also share the spotlight. The concept is simple - choose a meat, select Eastern or Western style, and pick a few sides. Specialties range from traditional Kansas City ribs to Vietnamese Bahn Mi sandwiches and house-made sausage. Tap and can beer are available, as are fountain soda beverages.
Wisconsin farmers will provide chicken, duck, pork ribs and beef brisket, as well as seasonal vegetables. Our dedication to supporting local agriculture is a key component of our business - we appreciate our local farmers so much you can find their pictures hanging on our walls.
Open for both lunch and dinner, the atmosphere is casual and cozy. Daily specials will include homemade soups and Dan Almquist's famous desserts.
